SWIK® Oral Secretion Management Device by SWIK® Medical Solutions

Continuous, Hands-Free Solution to Manage Oral Secretions

SWIK® Is A New Way to Manage Oral Secretions for Patients with Dysphagia

SWIK is a single-use device intended to continuously manage oral secretions without frequent intervention. Designed to help patients with dysphagia, SWIK helps to remove secretions before they become a problem. Continuous oral secretion clearing has been found to potentially reduce the rate of Ventilator-Assisted Pneumonia (VAP), decrease the duration of medical ventilation and shorten the length of stay in the ICU.¹

Gentle on oral tissues, SWIK’s soft, wicking foam mouthpiece and its connected tubing are used with a portable or wall-mounted negative pressure pump to continuously remove secretions for up to 12 hours before requiring replacement. SWIK is suitable for a wide range of patients, including intubated and ventilated, post-stroke, trauma and neurology patients. SWIK Medical aims to improve patient outcomes, reduce nursing time and save hospital costs.
