The Ventway Sparrow Transport Ventilator Is Gaining Trust and Recognition
Ventway Sparrow Added To List of Approved Vents
The Joint Trauma System Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) for Mechanical Ventilation Basics were recently revised to include the Inovytec Ventway Sparrow transport ventilator. The guidelines are published by the Department of Defense Center of Excellence for Trauma.
The updated guidelines note that the Sparrow has been added to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) list of approved ventilators. SOCOM is a unified combatant command within the U.S. Department of Defense responsible for overseeing and coordinating the nation’s Special Operations Forces (SOF) from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.Â
Additionally, the guidelines highlight that the Sparrow ventilator is increasingly being utilized within both the Department of Defense (DOD) and NATO forces.
The Joint Trauma System clinical guidelines offer an overview of prehospital and inter-facility mechanical ventilation, providing a standardized approach from the point of injury to en route care up to Role 2 levels of care. To download a copy of the guidelines, click here.
“This is a major milestone for the Ventway Sparrow that reflects the growing trust and recognition within military and medical units,” said Inovytec VP of Sales Inna Ashkenazi.
