The Macy Catheter provides quick and easy rectal administration of fluids and medications when the oral route is compromised and IV starts are difficult or not necessary. The catheter can preclude the placement of IO devices or central lines in non-critical situations, avoiding the cost and potential complications of these devices.

• Administer medication of fluids quickly when oral route is compromised or IV placement is protracted, impossible or unnecessary
