Transformational DiMax and DiMax ZERO Masks Designed to Meet Patients’ Needs

Quickly Convert DiMax Masks Into A Vented or Non-Vented Mask

In critical care and respiratory therapy, adaptability isn’t just a convenience; it’s a clinical advantage.

For clinicians navigating complex or rapidly changing patient needs, the ability to transform a single NIV total face mask into either a vented or non-vented system provides measurable benefits for both patients and providers.

The DIMAR DiMax and DiMax ZERO NIV Total Face Masks from Solutions in Critical Care exemplify this principle with a design that allows clinicians to quickly convert the same mask between vented and non-vented modes using packaged connectors.

The DiMax masks’ interchangeable connectors enable patients to transition between multiple ventilation modes (PSV, BiLevel-BiPAP or CPAP) as their condition evolves, without requiring an interface change. This capability saves time, reduces patient stress and minimizes treatment interruptions.

How the DiMax Interchangeable NIV Masks Enhance Patient Care

    • Clinicians can seamlessly convert the mask to increase support during acute distress or decrease support during recovery, ensuring the mask setup always aligns with the safest respiratory strategy for the patient.
    • Providers can promptly switch between modes to evaluate patient response without causing discomfort.
    • During emergencies, shift changes or transport, clinicians can convert the mask with simple connector swaps rather than locating a new mask. This equates to faster equipment changes and more time focused on patient care.
    • Even when configured in either vented or non-vented mode, the mask allows access for nasogastric tubes and fiberoptic bronchoscopic probes without leakage or ventilatory interruption. This is an important advantage during diagnostics or feeding access placement.

The versatility found in DiMax masks isn’t just a convenient design feature. These transformational masks are a meaningful improvement in respiratory care by enabling providers to streamline equipment and quickly adapt to patients’ needs.

DiMax and DiMax ZERO Total Face NIV Masks

The DiMax and DiMax ZERO total-face masks are single-patient-use NIV masks for use in PSV, BiLevel-BIPAP and CPAP. The masks are constructed of flexible polycarbonate and have a thin 0.3 mil silicone membrane to comfortably fit a wide range of patient face shapes and sizes, reducing skin injuries. The five-point headgear holds the lightweight mask securely in place to optimize patient/ventilator synchrony and reduce leakages. The DiMax ZERO features a unique two-limb design that minimizes CO2 rebreathing. Both masks are available in five sizes and are suitable for single or double-limb circuits.
