Beyond Limits: How the Panther 5N Excels Where Other Ventilators Fall Short

In high-acuity clinical environments, ventilator performance cannot be conditional. Patients requiring non-invasive ventilation often present with high inspiratory demands, significant leaks, and rapidly changing respiratory mechanics—conditions where many systems lose synchrony and reliability.
Many ventilators were not engineered for high-acuity NIV, instead adding non-invasive modes to existing platforms.
The Panther 5N was purpose-built to overcome the limitations of conventional ventilators that simply added an NIV mode. With peak flow up to 340 LPM, leak compensation up to 200 LPM, and pressure delivery up to 100 cmH₂O, it delivers the power and stability required when standard ventilators struggle to manage significant mask leakage. A high-output dual-stage blower, patented proportional flow valve, and advanced triggering algorithms ensure reliable patient–ventilator synchrony.
To support clinical adoption, the Panther 5N incorporates familiar capabilities valued in the Respironics V60, including AVAPS, stepped pressure increases in S/T mode, and ACTIVE Standby—while extending performance into higher-acuity environments. Designed for use across the continuum of care, the Panther 5N supports patients from fragile neonates through large adults and offers full NIV, invasive ventilation, and high-flow oxygen therapy in a single compact platform, without compromising performance.
The P5N Is Engineered for the Conditions Other Vents Can’t Handle
Maintaining synchrony in high-acuity NIV requires continuous, intelligent response to patient effort—not just tolerance of leaks. Origin’s Synchrony Suite combines SMART Trigger and advanced leak compensation to dynamically adjust to changing patient demand, reducing the work of breathing and preserving reliable breath detection as conditions evolve.
Powered by a high-flow two-stage turbine and advanced triggering technology, the Panther 5N delivers consistent sensing and pressure delivery across a wide range of flows and pressures, enabling dependable support in challenging clinical scenarios.
Dependable, Flexible, and Easy to Use
The Panther 5N is designed to integrate seamlessly into clinical workflows. It supports a wide range of circuits and mask types—including vented interfaces—and automatically adapts to the configuration in use. The 15″ touchscreen enables fast, intuitive setup, while integrated oximetry, capnography, and pneumatic or Aerogen nebulizer support reduce reliance on external devices and simplify patient care.
